“The Visual Perception of Objects and Events” Donald Hoffman, Professor of Cognitive Sciences, UC Irvine and author of “Visual Intelligence: How We Create What We See” and coauthor of “Observer Mechanic: A Formal Theory Of Perception.” He received the Troland Research Prize of the US National Academy of Sciences and the Early Career Award of the American Psychological Association.

“Monitoring the Remembering of the Religious Past” Jack Miles, Distinguished Professor of English & Religious Studies, English School of Humanities.

“Events, Facts, and Narratives” Lewis Lancaster, Professor Emeritus of East Asian Literature at Berkeley and Founder and Director of the Electronic Cultural Atlas Initiative Ryan Shaw, Ph.D. student at UC Berkeley’s School of Information.

The quick takeaway from this long and scientific talk is this:

• Right now we have a world wide web of objects (physical objects, locations, services, people) and search engines to find those objects.
• As theorized, the next stage of the world wide web is going to be centered around events (historic events, as well as current ones, that are happening right now all around the world)
• We already have ability to access internet with our mobile devices such as cell phones. I will let your imagination combine event webs and current mobile trend…
